An international open call for artists engaged with digital technology, The Lumen Prize is a juried competition offering a prize fund of $11k for works in six different categories. Now in its 7th year, The Lumen Prize has already awarded over $50,000 in prize money and has staged over 40 exhibitions worldwide, including London, New York, Shanghai, Riga, Hong Kong, Cardiff, Leeds, Amsterdam and Athens.
The 2017 prizes are: – Gold Award ($4000) Moving Image ($1000) Still Image ($1000)- AR/VR ($1000) 3D/Interactive Award ($1000) Founder’s Award ($1000) Meural Student Prize ($500) – People’s Choice Award ($500) and The BCS Artificial Intelligence Award ($1000). There is an administration fee of US$47.50 to enter which covers 2 entries and each additional entry costs US$23.75. A not-for-profit based in the UK, all Lumen entry fees go directly towards the prizes and events programme.
