BKF welcomes proposals for artist-SU

01.08.17 | News

In the run-up to the Finance Act negotiations, the Conservatives propose giving newly qualified artists a year's extra SU. This will allow graduates to concentrate 100% on making art in the first year.

BKF welcomes the proposal. It can give young artists a fair chance to start their careers and create a way of life in the profession.

This is needed, because the first years after the art academy are critical. BKF has therefore worked purposefully to improve the situation of graduates over the past few years.

Vi har bla. created network for new graduates. Made one mentoring scheme, where new graduates spar with experienced colleagues. And we have expanded and targeted BKF's continuing education offer.
