"Despite our high level of education, strong personal drive and the many working hours we put into the practice of the profession we love, we constitute an absolute low-income group. That image can and must be changed. But it requires that both politicians and decision-makers in the art world think new things and act on it.”
– Nis Rømer, chairman of the Association of Visual Artists (BKF)

"We need to strengthen the opportunities to make a living from art, not only for the sake of the artists, but because we as a society can benefit far more from art's potential for life-enhancing realizations, value creation and new communities than we do today. "
– Nis Rømer, chairman of the Association of Visual Artists (BKF).
