BKF prize 2020: Here is the jury's shortlist

Floating on house gables in a general residential area. Far out in a West Jutland forest. In a basement room in a large provincial town. Unexpected places in North Jutland's public spaces. In the middle of the capital and behind the hedge of an allotment association. In all these places, artists ensure in an inspiring way that the latest contemporary art meets the audience and creates professional development in the entire artistic life.

That work is recognized and celebrated with the BKF award for Artist-run Exhibition Venues of the Year, where the jury has now chosen six self-organized project spaces for this year's shortlist. Scroll down the page here and see the entire shortlist.

The shortlist is selected from a strong field of total 65 nominees, artist-run venues throughout the country.

Jury and winners
Among the six shortlisted places, the jury subsequently chooses three winners, each of whom is awarded DKK 25.000 from the collective copyright funds of the visual arts in VISDA. The names of the winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on Saturday 13 June 2020 in the Free Exhibition Building.

The 2020 jury consists of BKF's chairman Nis Rømer, as well as Farid Salti and Malene Dam from Kunsthal next door and Vermilion Sands, who are among the previous years' winners.
